HealthStar Home Health has some pretty impressive employees with an extraordinary range of skills and backgrounds. From our Nurses and Caregivers in client homes providing one-on-one care, to our team of administrative professionals working “behind the scenes” to make sure operations are running smoothly, HealthStar has quite the team focused on providing the best care possible to our clients.
Meet Teresa! Teresa joined the HealthStar family in October 2021. Her infectious sense of humor is what makes her the perfect addition to the Inver Grove Heights team (and the HealthStar family in general!). Teresa is known for advocating for her patients, and always treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve. She is compassionate towards all, and is always willing to lend a hand around the office. We could not be more thrilled that Teresa decided to join the HealthStar family!
Q: What do you do at HealthStar? What does a typical day look like for you?
A: As an RN Case Manager I see lovely people in their homes for a variety of reasons like wound care, catheter changes and medication management. I also spend a lot of time in my car.
Q: Before working at HealthStar, what was the most interesting or unusual job you’ve ever had?
A: I once had a summer job in college for a company that manufactured penial implants. It was a blast.
Q: What has been your proudest moment working at HealthStar?
A: Any time one of my wound care patients have their wounds heal.
Q: How has HealthStar helped in your career development?
A: HealthStar’s leadership have all been so welcoming and open/flexible to ideas I have brought to the team.
Q: If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing (except money), what would it be and why?
A: Time. There is never enough.
Q: What is your motto or personal mantra?
A: Living the Dream.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: Spend time with my 3 kids, 2 grandkids, dog and 2 cats. Diamond painting, reading, sleeping.
Q: If somebody opened up your Spotify/Apple Music/Pandora/etc, what would they be surprised to see?
A: Meatloaf….life is a lemon, wasted youth, and paradise by the dashboard lights are the best.
Q: If you were to skydive from an airplane, what would you think about on the way down?
A: If this shoot doesn’t open, that is gonna be a really big splat!!
Q: How do you define success?
A: Knowing I raised 3 responsible kids with big hearts who will always be there for each other.
