From our Nurses and Caregivers in client homes providing one-on-one care, to our team of administrative professionals working “behind the scenes” to make sure operations are running smoothly, HealthStar has quite the team focused on providing the best care possible to our clients.
Today we celebrate Dorinda Joe, Client Coordinator out of our Gallup, New Mexico office. Dorinda started her career at Circle of Life/HealthStar Home Health in March 2021 and has been a vital member of the team ever since! Q: What do you do at Circle of Life/HealthStar? What does a typical day look like for you?
A: I’m a Client Coordinator. I keep in contact with Clients, PCA, and other Client Coordinators. I do case notes, supervision, help with tech/tablets, scheduling, also assist with answering calls.
Q: Before working at HealthStar, what was the most interesting or unusual job you’ve ever had?
A: I have been a waitress, a maid, a cashier, a Nurses Assistant, a Correction officer, a security officer in a detox facility, a Domestic Violence Batters Intervention facilitator, a case aide, a domestic violence advocate/transitional housing case manger, a Direct Care worker, any many more that I only lasted a few days or weeks. All have gave me some great memories. Most I would do again. I love the work I have done.
Q: How has Circle of Life/HealthStar helped in your career development?
A: As a Client Coordinator I have learned more about the case management that goes into caring for our elders and disabled.
Q: If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing (except money), what would it be and why?
A: Wishes, so I can wish for my family and friends.
Q: What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
A: I am a closet introvert.
Q: What is your motto or personal mantra?
A: It is what it is.
Q: What do you like most about your job at Circle of Life/HealthStar?
A: My clieints.
Q: If somebody opened up your Spotify/Apple Music/Pandora/etc, what would they be surprised to see?
A: I listen to a combination of heavy metal, country, R & B, Old school, Classic rock.
Q: What are 3 things on your bucket list?
A: Visiting Greece, Hawaii, Disney World/Land

A: This is a great company, there is room for growth.
