Employee Spotlight: Sarah Dustin

HealthStar Home Health has some pretty impressive employees with an extraordinary range of skills and backgrounds. From our Nurses and Caregivers in client homes providing one-on-one care, to our team of administrative professionals working “behind the scenes” to make sure operations are running smoothly, HealthStar has quite the team focused on providing the best care possible to our clients.

Sarah is one of the newest members of the Corporate family. She joined us back in April as our Admissions Specialist. In her few short months at HealthStar, she has completely transformed and streamlined the admissions process. Not only was Sarah instrumental in revamping the intake process to make the entire process quicker (for both her and the branch offices), she also made the admissions/intake process PAPERLESS! Besides her ability to get things done quickly and efficiently, she also fit right into the Corporate family from day 1. It’s hard to imagine HealthStar without her!

Q: What do you do at HealthStar? What does a typical day look like for you?
A: I am the Admission Specialist. On a daily basis I work collaboratively with the 3 skilled offices (Bemidji, Duluth, and IGH) to onboard new clients.

Q: Before working at HealthStar, what was the most interesting or unusual job you’ve ever had?
A: I worked as a CNA for a few years at an Assisted Living facility. It was very rewarding. I loved forming relationships with all the residents. There was never a dull moment!!
