Employee Spotlight: Pam Kent

banner with "Employee Spotlight" repeating

HealthStar Home Health has some pretty impressive employees with an extraordinary range of skills and backgrounds. From our Nurses and Caregivers in client homes providing one-on-one care, to our team of administrative professionals working “behind the scenes” to make sure operations are running smoothly, HealthStar has quite the team focused on providing the best care possible to our clients.

Pam joined the HealthStar/First Nations Ogema team back in 2021. Although our Ogema office is one of the smallest in terms of administrative staff, they are the picture-perfect example of what teamwork can accomplish. Pam leads the charge making sure clients are staffed and happy, and employees are well cared for. In addition, she makes sure everyone who enters the Ogema office is well cared for and comfortable. Pam is an advocate for her employees and clients, and that’s what makes her the PERFECT person to spotlight this month!

Q: What do you do at HealthStar? What does a typical day look like for you?
A: Branch Manager at the Ogema Office. A typical day is making sure all paperwork is complete, looking for new clients and /or employees, following up with clients to make sure they are happy with services and dealing with whatever happens to come up.

Q: Before working at HealthStar, what was the most interesting or unusual job you’ve ever had?
A: I worked at HeadStart for several years in a 3-year-old room. That was a BLAST!! I also worked at a drug addiction clinic for a number of years which taught me a LOT about people and what they are able to overcome.
