HealthStar Home Health has some pretty impressive employees with an extraordinary range of skills and backgrounds. From our Nurses and Caregivers in client homes providing one-on-one care, to our team of administrative professionals working “behind the scenes” to make sure operations are running smoothly, HealthStar has quite the team focused on providing the best care possible to our clients.
Today we recognize Kristen Hernandez, Branch Manager out of the Cass Lake office! Kristen is a veteran of the Cass Lake office. She started her career at HealthStar/First Nations in 2017 as the Office Assistant. Kristen has worked her way up, and recently took the reigns of the Cass Lake office as Branch Manger! Kristen’s dedication to providing exceptional care to both the clients AND employees is what makes her invaluable. She’s always willing to lend a hand to neighboring branch offices if needed and always keeps the 24 ECCs in the front of her mind. We are SO excited to spotlight her this month!
Q: What has been your favorite project you’ve worked on at HealthStar?
A: My favorite event at HealthStar was doing a marketing event in the Bemidji area. Several of the local office staff attended and it was great to all come together to educate the community on our services and company mission.
Q: How would you describe HealthStar in 3 words?
A: Progressive, Caring & Fun!
Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: A professional candy bar taste tester.
Q: What do you like most about your job at HealthStar?
A: The best part of my job is being able to connect with people each day and to know you’re doing something to help them. I also find it so satisfying to work so close to such great people!
Q: If somebody opened up your Spotify/Apple Music/Pandora/etc, what would they be surprised to see?
A: French music.
Q: If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing (except money) what would it be and why?
A: At this moment in time, fuel because I feel like it would get me places.
Q: What is your motto or personal mantra?
A: Evolve or remain.
Q: What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
A: I enjoy reading, spending time with my kids and then reading some more.
Q: If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
A: To see into the future, so I can react appropriately to situations.
