HealthStar Home Health has some pretty impressive employees with an extraordinary range of skills and backgrounds. From our Nurses and Caregivers in client homes providing one-on-one care, to our team of administrative professionals working “behind the scenes” to make sure operations are running smoothly, HealthStar has quite the team focused on providing the best care possible to our clients.
Today we recognize Beth Peterson, our fearless Director of Human Resources out the Corporate office! Beth joined HealthStar in 2019. In those 3 years, Beth has worked tirelessly to make HealthStar Home Health the destination employer. She’s been the driving force behind overhauling HealthStar’s hiring and onboarding processes, implementing employee engagement initiatives, providing resources and training materials to managers, and growing the Human Resources team. Working in Human Resources isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. However, Beth never walks into the office without a smile on her face and at least 2 caffeinated drinks. This month we celebrate Beth!
Q: What do you do at HealthStar? What does a typical day look like for you?
A: Director of HR…Typical day? I don’t have a typical day! Everyday is something new!
Q: Before working at HealthStar, what was the most interesting or unusual job you’ve ever had?
A: Bartended for 10+ years
Q: What has been your favorite project you’ve worked on at HealthStar?
A: Redoing the hiring process and making sure we have the right people in the right role! The HR team has worked hard to develop tools to create consistency.
Q: What is your proudest moment working at HealthStar?
A: Being recognized with a job well done by my peers and upper management.
Q: What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
A: I have my motorcycle license and back in the day I owned a Harley
Q: If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing (except money), what would it be and why?
A: Diet coke! Because I love it!
Q: Tell me about the best day you’ve had working at HealthStar?
A: When my team decorated my office for my birthday!

A: 1. Travel to Australia 2. Travel to Japan 3. Travel to Hawaii
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: Go to the cabin in Spooner WI
Q: If you were to skydive from an airplane, what would you think about on the way down?
A: My to do list!
